Top five best commercials
Companies fight for consumers every day; marketing specialists use their creativity to spark people's interest. Jack Trout (one of the founders & pioneers of positioning & marketing welfare therories) said that marketing is the fight for creativity, not money and he is absolutely right! We often watch many commercials on TV; most of which tend to be bad & boring with the quality being of a rather average level. Other times we can come across very interesting commercials which spark our interest, complete with a clear target audience.
I love watching good commercials & today I would like to present you with five of the very best ones!
First of all however, I would just like to explain the main reasons behind why certain commercials are good whilst others tend to be bad. Ultimately every commercial should tell a story which is what gains our interest in the first instance. Another issue is centered around the overall brand positioning as often the same quotes/taglines are used but simply said in a different way. Here are a few examples;
Harley-Davidson: 'respect/LiveYourLegend'
Budweiser: 'friendship'
Apple: 'think different.'
I will now show you some examples of what makes a great commercial. My list is of course subjective and the sequence of videos are random.
1. Budweiser: Super Bowl XLVIII Puppy Love:
()
Admittedly it is very touching, sweet and beautiful commercial. Story about puppy, horse, best friend is great! And it is commercial of bear.
2. Harley - Davidson : Respect and LiveYourLegend
Best choice for bad boys – respect. No need for more comment.
3. Allegro - What are you looking at Christmas? | English for beginners
Allegro is a very popular auction site in Poland. They aptly presented the problem of homesickness and separation from loved ones. When words fail to express your love, you have to learn them.
4. Pantene
When I saw this commercial first time I just said “Wow”. It is a touching story by Russian Pantene Prov Shampoo. Great job!
5. AT&T - Close to Home | It Can Wait
AT&T moved a big problem how to use phone while driving.
All of these commercials are exciting because some of them concern our day-to-day problems, feelings including our dreams & aspirations. This in turn both relates as well as reaches out to the target audience; building their overall love for that particular brand.
